Zr4 VS the M27

I agree black it the best thing smoking. But i have a tan car too and i did a test with four different laser gun and no one could get me i know i am invisable to laser.

The ZR4 can't even be updated with new guns, whereas the Blinder can be updated from home. That's the end of the story right there in my opinion.

The ZR4's really aren't all that bad, but they are not in the same class as the Blinder, which is a professional jammer. Having said that though I have a feeling that the predecessor to the ZR4 (ZR5?) is going to be really different and in the same league as the Blinder. What I don't like mostly about the ZR4's is that Escort crams them down your throat when you buy a 9500ci. When Escort does their homework they can come out with incredible products. There is no reason why they couldn't come out with a world class jammer if they really wanted to.

You do realize though that the head is installed up side down and there for transmits to the pavement some distance away? The zr3/zr4 heads are designed to be installed at the bottom of the licenses plate so as to not interfere with the plate illumination lights. The circuitry board on the zr's dose make a difference because of the way they are made. This is a very common zr install mistake.

I can't begin to tell you how many I've seen installed at the top. This is probably because the instructions aren't very clear, and then people just end up installing theirs the same way everyone else has.

I started using escort detectors in 1982. I have had almost every model.Note the positioning of the pack plate transducer also applies to the 9500ci.

If it's not going to work either way, you might as well install it in the most concealed configuration.

I don't believe it was installed upside down, if I recall correctly reading RDnet threads there was something about the bubble that you could tell which way it was supposed to be. You could install it on the top or bottom of the plate as long as the bubble was pointed the correct way, either way I'm not running ZR3s, nor would that have saved me for rear protection nor was I counting on it to, it was a receiver for information only
